2020 Leadership Vallejo program

Leadership Vallejo (LV) invites you to join its next professional program and become part of the exciting 13th class!

For 12 years, Leadership Vallejo has been the go-to organization that educates and trains future business, government and volunteer leaders who are eager to gain the skills and experience needed to make positive changes in Vallejo and beyond. LV also offers an array of networking opportunities among city and local leaders, with many graduates working in successful business, government and nonprofit careers.
“This program is for proven leaders who are ready to take their impact to the next level,” said Andrea Garcia of Touro University California and Leadership Vallejo Chairwoman. “We offer a robust program that primes the student to expand their reach in Vallejo and leave a meaningful and lasting impact.”

Selected participants will meet once a month for nine months. Each session is a day-long program packed with information, education, and training, with the first session beginning in January 2020. Each session is focused on a different aspect of the City, such as history, government, economic development, tourism, safety and education. Participants will practice enhancing skills in public speaking, setting priorities, and achieving consensus at public meetings. Participants will also gain effective listening skills and demonstrate mastery in identifying important issues from key speakers and leaders in those fields, as well as unique on-site opportunities throughout the City.

Graduates come out of this program with an in-depth overview of the entire city of Vallejo, as well as with enhanced leadership skills, knowledge, and a clearer idea of how to move forward as a leader within their own businesses or community.
